    I was checking through the Jacob Family photo’s and came across information regarding Willis James Jacob being a police officer and died in the line of duty. I found the following information on line which I thought I would share.

    Constable Jacob was headed North on Highway 11 outside Barrie, Ontario. Around 8:00 PM, a vehicle travelling Southbound lost control, hit a light pole and was sent crashing into the northbound lane narrowly missing 2 vehicles.

    Constable Jacob had no warning and was hit head on. Both drivers were killed instantly.

    As a result this tragedy the Ontario Ministry of Transportation made the highway 4 lanes divided in each direction.
