MARA AND RAMA PLOUGHING
MATCH
Nov. 15, 1867



This match took place on the 2nd inst., on the farm of Mr. James Smith, Rama. Though the weather was rather unfavourable, still there were quite a number on the ground. There were 16 entries, and the ploughing would certainly have been considered excellent in many older localities. A substantial dinner was provided for the occasion by Mr. Smith.
The prizes were awarded as follows:–

1st CLASS

3rd prize,— John Newman

2nd CLASS BOYS

1st prize,—- W. O’Connell
2nd prize,— W. J. Bell
