I’m trying to locate living members of the Santimo family. Parents were John
(1830-1907) and Mary (1843-1928). Children were: Elizabeth, Sarah, Michael,
Mary, Daniel, Andrew, John, Isabella and William.

From the Mara book       There are numerous variations of the surname, as it was anglicized. It appears that the descendants of John and Mary, did go by SANTIMO, while some of John’s siblings went by St. Amand    or  StAmant                                                                                                                                                                    the January 1939 obit (page 802) for Isabella, does list the names of her surviving siblings.               I have done some research on this family, and came up with some names of the grandchildren of John and Mary These are now listed on the site-   werelate.org

From our research                                                                                                                                              the 1957 voters list shows –

    Elizabeth Santimo- spinster

    Beatrice Santimo- spinster

    Daniel Santimo- gentleman

all living in Brechin– this Elizabeth is a daughter of John and Mary, not sure what relation Beat and Dan are.
No Santimo headstones in the area.
the Daniel Santimo, in the 1957 voters list was a son of John and Mary, and a sister of Elizabeth.
He died in Brechin,  15 Feb. 1958, and was buried in Mount Hope Cemetery, Toronto, 18 Feb. 1958, beside his wife, the former Catherine McIntaggart of Mara.
