NEARLY 400 ATTEND UPTERGROVE PARTY

A very successful garden party was held at St. Columbkill’s Church, Uptergrove, last night. More than 250 attended for supper. Dancers, numbering 350, danced to the strains of Andrew’s orchestra till 2:30. A continuation of this garden party will be held on Monday, August 8th. The grand drawing of prizes was held over until next week.

A continuation of the garden party held at St. Columbkill’s church, Uptergrove, on Tuesday will be held on Monday, August 8. Admission to the grounds will be free and there will be all kinds of games, wheel of fortune and bingo. Soft drinks, candy, ice cream, cigars, and cigarettes will be sold on the ground. A concert will be put on by some professional talent and band dancing will hold sway from 10 p.m. onwards with a good orchestra in attendance. The grand drawing of prizes will take place sometime during the evening. Admission to the grounds will be free and a charge of 25 cents will be made for the dance. You are all invited to attend.
