Hello-- I do not know of an active genealogist in the Ramara area-- You can find the land records for Mara and Rama, at the Simcoe Land registry office, in Barrie. There are several directories on this site that indicate the lot and concession number, for residents. All the land records are on mirco film, filled under lot and concession.
The Orillia Times, and Orillia Packet -- and after they merged in the 1920's- the Orillia Packet and Times -are available on micro film at the Orillia Libarary, and the Ontario Archieves in Toronto.

A grandson of Thomas McDermott and Catherine Duffy, Edmund Timothy McDermott, a druggist, married Katherine Ella McDonnell- she went by Ella-- He died April 6, 1958-- his death notice is in the Toronto Star, Apr. 7, 1958.
