Thomas Burke first settled in Eldon township but that land was purchased and flooded by the Trent Canal. He then purchased W1/2 lot4 con 5 from Lachlin McInnis in 1906 for $2875 And the rest is history -

The original Pat McGee married Ann Hughes and they left Ireland Ireland on May 3rd, 1845 They first settled in Brock township iin 1861.Pat's widow is on the 1871 Carden census after Pat died while on Jury duty in 1870.The first homestead contained parts of Lot 3 and 4 Con 8.Pat's son Pat moved to Lot 6 Con 5 in1906 -

Mullally / Millaley

John Cornelius Mullally, his wife Mary Farrell and family settled in Carden Township, on pt. of Lot 12, Con.9, in the late 1860's. Previously they had farmed near Marysville, in Tyendinago Township, Hastings County, Ontario. For some the spelling of the family name changed to Millaley, while others used Mullally. All those interned in St. Mary's Cemetery, Victoria Road, went by MILLALEY. -

PATRICK WALSH was born 1801 in Ireland, (possibly Connaught), and died 01 Jan 1878 in Kirkfield, Ontario. He married MARY ELLEN CARLIN. She was born 1810 in Ireland, County Tyrne. They immigrated to Canada in 1842.They settled on Lot 3 Con 8 This farm remained in the family name until 1078 -
