Mrs. John Beattie
On Tuesday morning, January 9, the beloved wife of John Beattie passed away in her69th year. She was born in Victoria County, at Dalrymple, Ontario, on the 15th day of November in the year 1870. Before he marriage she was Sarah Emma, the eldest daughter of George and Sarah Fox. After her marriage she lived in Ontario near Orillia, Ontario until the year of 1906, when they moved to Manitoba and lived in the Brandon district, and then they moved to Roblin, and later to Makaroff, where they lived Until the time of her death. She leaves to mourn her loss, her loving husband, three daughters, and four sons, Mrs. Wm. Pound, Mrs. W. A. Boyce and Mrs. H. Boyce; four sons, Wilfred, Johnie, Isaac, all of Makaroff, and George of Roblin; 21 grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and one sister Mrs. L Snodden, of Udney, Ontario. The service was conducted by the Rev. Mr. Morris, an old friend of the family, assisted by the Rev. L. Thompson, of Makaroff. The funeral was largely by sorrowing friends and acquaintances of the community. The burial was made in the Makaroff cemetery on the 11th of January.....
