Margaret Lyons was marries twice, her first marriage was Patrick Donnelly and her second was to a Mr Ward. She died at the home of her son John Donnelly of Carden, Victoria County as noted in the Orillia Times 12 November 1896. Margaret's death certificate states she was born in Cork County, Ireland.
The birth of Margaret's first child in Canada in 1832 would have made her 18 years old at the time. On October 1, 1836 her husband Patrick Donnelly bought 200 acres of land in Mara: N 1/2 Lot 7, Con 3, and S 1/2 Lot 7, Con 4 and moved his family to the Brechin area.
