Patrick Walsh was not originally buried in Victoria Road. When he died in 1878, the cemetary at Victoria Road (St. Mary
s)did not exist. It was suggested that an ideal location would be at the top of the hill at Uncle Joe's property. An Ellen Fogerty was buried on that property in advance of the church being built. The church as built in Victoria Road. The Fogerty body was accidentally uprooted while a stump was being uprooted. The bones were gathered and moved to a grave in the Victoria Road Cemetary.
Patrick Walsh was originally buried on the McNamee farm at the fence corner between the Murph/McNamee farm. He was later moved to Victoria Road at Stoney Lonesome in the townline.
