Cecil Elwood Windrim was also known as Tick. He was born on Thursday, 16 March 1899 at Uxbridge, Ontario Co., Ontario, Canada. He began military service on 8 March 1917 at Galt, Waterloo Co., Ontario, Canada, when he signed his attestation papers and became regimental #763913, with the Foresty division, 122'nd Overseas Battalion. He was living in South River Ontario, born in Uxbridge Ontario, and his mother Ada in South River was listed as his next of kin. He was born Mrach 16, 1899, he was single, labourer. He was deemed medically fit and described as follows: 5' 3" tall, dark complexion, brown eyes, brown hair, Methodist. He had no distinctive marks. He and Sadie Shaw, daughter of Alexander Shaw and Emma F. McAuley, were married by Reverend C. W. McKenzie on Tuesday, 30 September 1924 at Rama Twp., Ontario Co., Ontario, Canada. They were both listed as being single, intending to live in Longford Mills. He was age 25, a still man, Methodist. She was 19, housewife, Presbyterian. He was buried on Wednesday, 20 July 1960 at Pine Hills Cemetery, Toronto, York Co., Ontario, Canada.
