STUBBS, Doreen (nee Gray) - Entered into rest following a lengthy illness in her 67th year, at Kingston General Hospital on Sunday September 22nd. Doreen was the beloved wife of Wayne for 47 years. Loving mother of Susan (Phil) Crossley of Whitby and Jim Stubbs of Oshawa as well as "mom" to Jodi Plomley of Oshawa. Devoted grandma to Allaura and Ryan Crossley. Survived by her sister Marie (Les Davy), brother Bill Gray (Lillian), Marg Settle, Alice (Alister Mitchell) and brother Ken (Denise) Gray all of the Orillia area. Predeceased by her parents Harvie and Gladys Gray. Doreen will be remembered as a generous, loving wife, mother, grandma, sister and friend. She was a volunteer at Woodcrest School and nurtured over twenty children as a neighbourhood babysitter. Her love of sewing, knitting and doll-making occupied many hours as well as being well known for her delicious baking and family meal preparation. Family and friends will be received at BARNES MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME , 5295 Thickson Rd. N. Whitby, 905-655-3662 for visitation on Wednesday September 25th from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 p.m. A funeral service honouring Doreen's life will be held in the Barnes Chapel on Thursday morning at 11:00 a.m
