      SMITH, Murray Donald " Keith"
      Of Saint Thomas, on Thursday July 13, 2006 at the Saint Thomas-Elgin General Hospital, surrounded by his loving family in his 72nd year. Dearly loved husband of Lois (McKILLOP) SMITH and dearly loved father of Jeff and his wife Rebecca of Simcoe. Dear brother of Helen C. HAMMOND of Calgary and the late Brock HAMMOND, and was predeceased by brothers Hugh SMITH and Stephen SMITH. Dear son-in-law of Reta McKILLOP of Dutton and the late William D. McKILLOP, and was also survived by a number of nieces, nephews and cousins. Keith was born November 18, 1934 in Chatham, the son of the late Murray and Harriett (FURNESS) SMITH. He worked for Union Gas in the Chatham, London and Saint Thomas districts and was a Member and Elder of First United Church and was also a Member of the Kinsman Club in Chatham and Saint Thomas. He was an avid gardener. Resting at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin Street, Saint Thomas where funeral service will be held Monday at 1: 30 p.m. Visitation at the funeral home on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Private Interment in the Evergreen Cemetery in West Lorne. Donations may be made to the First United Church, the C.I.C.U. of the Saint Thomas-Elgin General Hospital or the charity of one's choice.
