Notes - From the Toronto Daily Star, Sat. July 4th., 1914, page 11-- PODGER-TOBIN Thursday morning July 2nd, at 8 o'clock in St. Patrick's R.C. Church, was the scene of a very pretty wedding when Miss Mary Agnes Tobin, the only daughter of Mrs. Ellis, 21 Harbord St. became the wife of Mr. Robert Charles Podger, 784 Gerrard Street East.
The bride entered the church assisted by her uncle Mr. P. Kelly. She wore white silk crepe de chine and sharow lace, with hat to match, and carried a bouquet of bridal roses and lily of the valley.
Miss Anastasia Holmes, cousin of Miss Tobin, was bridesmaid, wearing pale blue brocaded silk, and hat to match, and carried a bouquet of pink roses. Thos. J. Spratt Lindsay assisted the groom.
After the ceremony, the wedding breakfast was served at the home of the bride's mother. The happy couple left for an extended trip to American points, the bride traveling in blue moire suit with Panama hat. Fr. Brick, C.S.S.R. performed the ceremony
