- 1. Jack McPhee was first referred to as a lodger in the home of Thomas and Charlotte McNabb on the 1901 census.
2. He immigated to Canada in 1898.
3. Jack was the person who registered the death of Thomas in 1920. On the registration form he identified himself as the adopted son of Thomas. Thomas address on that form, Concession N, Lot 2, indicates that he was living with Jack at the time of his death. This land would have been on RR #1, Washago. Later this land was purchased by Eileen Cronk's brother. Eileen provided some of the information which I have collected here,
4. According to Rick McNamee, Jack was identifed as one of the "home Boys" sent from Britain to Canada as orphans.
5. On the 1901 census Jack registered as English and a Methodist.
6. On the 1921 census Jack said his parents were born n Scotland.
7. In 1921 he was a farmer living in Rama.
8. Jack Married Irvina ______________. Eileen Cronk says that Jack's wife was named Alvina and that he called her Vine.
9. Cronk identified Jack's children as Raymond, Melville and Alma.
