    1. [S4] Obituary.
It is with extreme sadness that the family announces the passing of Joe Finn - April 27, 1935 - May 12, 2022 in his 88th year. Joe passed at home at the house he built 55 years ago for the love of his life, Gladys (nee Dufty) d. 2010, to whom he was married for 50 years. He was born in Millbrook to Maurice Finn and Veronica Marren. He was the beloved brother of Marcella (Gord), Marie (Bill), Dennis (Deloris), Maurice - DC (Verona), Basil - Mickey (Elaine) and survived by his sister Anne (Ken). He was the proud father of Marcy (Doug), Janette (Randy) Drew and Shawn (Jenny). He was the proud Poppa of Colin (Hailey), Matt (Cass), Curtis (Katie) Brianna (Greg), Colton (Kim), Micaela (Jessie), Mitchell, Tristen (Madie), Luke (Grace). Joe was also the celebrated Great Poppa to Cooper, Cadence and Carla. Joe was known for being a hard working, genuine soul who was always up for a good visit and a wee drink. After running Finn?s Tree Service for many years, he became the Road Superintendent of Eldon Township. Joe always made time for a good visit. He enjoyed his daily visits with Ken and Ivan. He was blessed to have a loving extended family who called and visited frequently. He was ?Uncle Joe? to many! He loved to tell stories of his life experiences from hitchhiking out West, working in the gold mine in British Columbia, working in the camps on the Dew Line and coming home to the farm. Joe loved to tease everyone and loved a good joke.

He had an infectious smile that brightened the lives of everyone who knew him! He will be missed by his loving dog companion Murphy.

In Dad?s words, ?I have had a good life!?

He will be remembered at the Mangan Funeral Home, 332 Osbourne Street, Beaverton, Monday, May 16th from 2:00 - 4:00 P.M. and 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. Funeral will be held at St. John?s Catholic Church 1050 Portage Rd. Kirkfield on Tuesday, May 17th, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. Interment St. John?s Catholic Cemetery Kirkfield. Luncheon will take place at the Kirkfield Lion?s Hall after the interment. If so desired, memorial donations in memory of Joe to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated by the family.
