It is with great sadness that the family of Leonard Allan Wayne Duffy announces his passing on Friday, Feb. 5, 2010 at the Thunder Bay Regional Hospital in Thunder Bay, Ont.
Leonard was born Feb. 27, 1961 in Manitouwadge, Ont.
He was an avid outdoorsperson who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping, and was an avid hockey fan. He also enjoyed reading and music.
He received a degree from the Radio College of Canada He operated his own janitorial business in Fort Frances, had also owned Sportmen?s Billiards for a number of years, and had worked in Hudson in the forest industry.
Left to cherish his memory is his daughter, Janelle Duffy of Thunder Bay, Ont.; her mother, Debbie, and grandmother, Sue Tetu; and his parents, Cecil and Sunny Duffy of Fort Frances, Ont.
Also surviving are his sisters, Barbara (Ron) Johanson of Winnipeg, Man. and Beverley Thomson of Fort Frances, Ont.; brothers, Lawrence (Nicole) and Terry (Wanda), all of Fort Frances, Ont., and Gerald (Jennifer) of Thunder Bay, Ont.; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, close friends, and working acquaintances.
He was predeceased by his brother, Ken, on March 4, 1993; his maternal and paternal grandparents; and brother-in-law, Bob Thomson.
A celebration of Leonard?s life will be held Thursday, Feb. 11, 2010 at 1 p.m. at Green Funeral Home in Fort Frances, with Fr. Jose Marattil officiating.
Cremation has taken place.
