- Peacefully, at University Hospital on June 4th, 2020, Mr. William Crosby Merrifield, at the age of 91. Beloved husband of the late (May 28, 2008) June Isobel Merrifield (Donaldson). Predeceased by their son (October 3rd, 2011) William Gordon (Bill Jr.) Loving father to Bill Jr. (Christine), Donna Riddle (Kevin), Carol Paino (Angelo), and Jim (Michelle). Gramps to Christopher (Lorrie), and Michael (Theresa). Cherished Papa to Chae (Brett), Sienna (Daniel), Tanys (Jake), Mark, and Matthew. Great-Grampa to Olivia, Isabel and Brinley. Thank you to friends and family for your support. Thank you to the Palliative Care Team at U.H., with sincerest respect and gratitude to Wendy McEwen, Nurse Practitioner for her kind and gentle care of our Pops, and support for Carol & Sienna, and to Donna Chapman, Spiritual Care Practitioner, for prayers and visits with Bill. Thanks also to Bill's friends at the Church of God International, Kiwanis Senior's Centre, London Ontario. Cremation has taken place and at Mr. Merrifield's request, immediate family attended his burial at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in London, Ontario. A private, family Celebration of Life will take place at a future date.
