Robert "Bob" Frank McNish
October 29, 1930 - October 22, 2021
Robert F. ?Bob? McNish (Cal-Mad Dog), age 90, passed away on Friday, October 22, 2021 from complications with Covid-19. Bob was born October 29, 1930 in Newbury, Ohio and grew up in Newbury, Chardon and Chesterland. He was the son of Frank McNish and Anna (Sulc) Burr. He left Chester School to join the Army. He served in the Korean War in Artillery and as a mechanic. He worked for CEI when coming home and retired from there. When returning from Korea he married his high school sweetheart Betty J. Kenny. They just celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary last week. He was a Weblo Scout Leader and coached baseball. He enjoyed gardening, riding his motorcycle, camping and wintering in Mrytle Beach with Betty.
He is survived by his wife, Betty J. (nee: Kenny) McNish of Hambden Twp.; children, Diana (Joseph) Klima of Thompson, OH, Peggy (Steve) Stokes of Madison, OH and Ted (Cathy) McNish of Rome, OH; Grandchildren, Kim (Robert) Levar, Kathleen (Tim) Klima, Kelly (Robert) Nyzen, Joseph ?Mike (Carly) Klima, Bryan McNish and Barry (Robin) McNish; Great Grandchildren, Madeline Christman, Ethan Christman, Ian Christman, Faye Levar, Zak Levar, Jane Levar, Pat Levar, Hayley Levar, Henry Nyzen, Emily Nyzen, John Nyzen, Everett Klima, Milly Klima, Dillon McNish, Alana McNish and Christina McNish.
He is preceded in death by his father, Frank McNish, Mother, Anna (nee: Sulc) Burr, brother, John McNish and sister, Fern (McNish Munn) Bannick.
Private Family Services will be held at a later date.
The family extends its deepest gratitude to his many caretakers over the years.
