Notes - GEORGE D. MacDONALD
A native of Mara township, near Uptergrove, George MacDonald, passed away suddenly, with a heart attack at his home in Kitchener on Thursday, July 12, aged 74 years. His sister Mrs. Malcolm Ball lived on Oxford Street, Orillia, and a brother Angus MacDonald at Northbrooke in Orillia township. Mr. MacDonald lived in Orillia until twenty years ago, having been employed at the Tudhope Carriage factory. Since leaving Orillia he has worked for the Ford Company at Windsor. Latterly he has spent every summer with his sister in Orillia. His wife formerly Lillian Bryce of London, to whom he was married in 1902, died five years ago. He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Ernest Russell and one son, Mr. Bryce MacDonald, both of Windsor. The funeral was held on Saturday, burial taking place at Windsor.
