      HENRY ALEXANDER MACDONALD

      Rev. Ted Burtch of Brechin conducted the funeral service held recently at Doolittle Funeral Home for Henry Alexander MacDonald. Mr. MacDonald died as the result of a car-truck crash. The truck was driven by a neighbour, Bud Wright, of Joyland Beach.
      Mr. MacDonald was sixty four. The pallbearers were William Doolittle, Clarence Doolittle, Murray Telford, John Warren, George Young and Mel Dollar.
      Mr. MacDonald was the only son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Duncan MacDonald of Uptergrove. He is survived by his wife, the former Evelyn MacPherson, sons Duncan of R.R. # 7, Orillia, Edward, Charles and William of R. R. # 5, Orillia, eleven grandchildren and one sister, Isabel, Mrs. William Doolittle of R.R.#7, Orillia. He is also predeceased by a son Donald.
      Mr. MacDonald was active in community life. He attended Udney United Church, was a master of Udney Loyal Orange Lodge No. 1024 and was a member of the Brotherhood of Locomotive engineers of which he was an employee for approximately 30 years. He worked as an engineer for the C.N.R.
      His love of music took him to many social functions and he played the violin, for dances, and the bagpipes, which he learned to play after he retired from the railway.

      MacDonald, H. Alex -- Suddenly at Orillia on Saturday, November 16, 1974. H. Alex MacDonald of R. R. # 5, Orillia, beloved husband of Evelyn MacPherson, in his 65th year. Dear father of Duncan, Edward, Charles and William of Orillia, and Donald predeceased: brother of Isabel (Mrs. William Doolittle) of Uptergrove and loving grandfather of eleven grandchildren. Resting at the Doolittle Funeral Home for service on Tuesday, November 19th at 1:30 p.m. Interment Atherley Cemetery, Members of Loyal Orange Lodge No. 1024, Udney, will meet at the Funeral Home for Memorial service, Monday evening at 7:30 p.m.

      Mrs. Isabel Anderson received word of the death of her brother-in-law, Alex MacDonald of Orillia, Ontario, Saturday, November 16, in a truck accident. mrs. MacDonald (nee Evelyn MacPherson) was a former Neepawa resident.

      MARA CRASH KILLS MAN, 64

      BRECHIN -- A car-dump truck collision about seven miles west of Brechin claimed the life of a Mara Township man. Henry Alexander MacDonald, 64, of R. R. # 5, Orillia, Ontario.
      His car was in collision with a seven-ton dump truck driven by Clinton Buddy (Bud) Wright, 29, of R. R. # 7, , Orillia, on Simcoe County Road 46 and Mara Sideroad 15 at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, said a Brechin OPP spokesman.
      The MacDonald vehicle was southbound on Mara Sideroad 15 and failed to stop for a stop sign at Simcoe County Road 46 when the collision occurred, said police. The Wright truck was eastbound on Simcoe County Road 46. Both vehicles came to rest in the south ditch.
      Mr. MacDonald was alone in the car, which was totally demolished. Damage to the front of the truck was estimated at $1,000.00 and the driver, Mr. Bud Wright escaped injury. Brechin OPP are investigating.
