    • In 1916, Edward enlisted in the C.E.F in Edmonton, Alberta. He was 22, single , living at 407 Moser Ryder Block, Edmonton, Alberta, a stenographer/ supply clerk. His next-of-kin is his father Captain Edward Muir, of 37 McFarland Ave., Toronto, Ontario. He was 6' 1 " tall, slender build, with a dark complexion, brown eyes, and dark brown hair. He was assigned to the No. 2, Overseas A.S.C. Training Depot, where he earned the rank of Sergeant.
