  "Charlie was Mick's younger brother; he used to come to visit his relativ es in the Brechin area quite often. Since he moved to the Rochester ar ea in the U. S. he was able to travel as far north as Brechin to stay in t ouch with his family. He was always rather poor and had a bunch of kid s. He was not very religious. Once he became quite angry at a priest. T he priest would only come to the aid of his extremely sick child if Charl ie would rent a horse and buggy for him to come out to the farm. The chi ld lived, but the incident did nothing to endear Charlie to the Church. Over the years Charlie's brothers in the AuGres Area seemed to have lost t ouch with Charlie and his children. The present day McLeans seem to ha ve never heard of Charlie.
