Mary Catherine (Cosgrove) Lorn
LORN, Mary Catherine (Cosgrove) - Born in Orillia May 19, 1944, daughter of the late James & Mary Cosgrove and beloved wife of the late Robert (Bobby) Lorn, Mary passed away peacefully with family by her side on October 25, 2016. Loving mother of: (late) Michael Walker, Nicole Lefebvre, Shawn Walker and (late) Robert Walker. Grandmother to Steve & Kevin and great grandmother to Kevin Junior & Caleb. Special aunt to Lisa MacMillan and \"Mamie\" to Austin, Mitchell and Nathan.). She will be deeply missed by loved ones: sister, Susan MacMillan, brothers Paul Cosgrove and C. David Cosgrove, \"big brother\" Joe Prudhomme, cousins, nieces, nephews, friends Carol and André, life-long friend, Alice, as well as many colleagues and friends. Kind, wise, strong-minded and courageous, she was sincerely devoted to her family. As a nurse (RPN), Mary cared for patients in hospitals in Calgary, Hamilton and St-Joseph\'s in London Ontario. She was also an active volunteer and graciously held the position of President of the Army Navy Airforce Veterans in Canada, Unit 393 where she enjoyed the community spirit and established many friendships. Special thanks to supportive friends, family and visitors who, by their special and unique presence (by phone or in person) made Mary\'s last road travelled a warm and loving journey. Family also wishes to express gratitude to the professionals at the Victoria Hospital\'s Palliative Care Unit for the loving care provided. A Celebration of Life will be held in Orillia at St Columbkille\'s Church, 4993 Highway 12 South in Uptergrove (Orillia) on November 12. Family will greet visitors as of 1:30 p.m. Mass will begin at 2 p.m. A private family interment will be held at a later date. London friends are invited to a memorial gathering on November 26 at 4 p.m. the ANAF 393, 649 Colborne St, London. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Ontario Lung Association.131
