Andy McIsaac who has been with A. Duffy during the last six months, left on Tuesday after putting in a most satisfactory season. Andy's absence will be keenly felt in the neighborhood, as he was a most estimable young man, and very popular. He intends going to the lumber woods immediately.

Andy McIsaac spent a few days here last week. Andy is just beginning to get over the effects of the serious accident he met with in the lumber woods about a month ago. At the present rate of progress he will soon be able to move around with more comfort and ease, but will not be able to do much this winter.

At the Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Orillia, on Tuesday, August 15, Andrew McIsaac died after an illness of over two years.
Born in Uptergrove, he was the third eldest son of the late Alexander McIsaac and Mary Mahoney. Most of life was spent in the vicinity of Uptergrove and Udney.
Left to mourn his loss are his wife, formerly Catherine McGovern, two daughters and two sons. Sister Mary Bernadette, Precious Blood Convent, Toronto, Corporal John McIsaac, R.C.A.F., Angus, Ontario, Helen and Andrew at home, He is also survived by one sister, Mrs. William Duffy of Uptergrove, and four brothers, James of Folylete, Dan of Whitby, Rod and Jack of Toronto.
The funeral took place from his residence near Udney on Friday, August 18, to St. Columbkille's church, Uptergrove, where requiem high mass was celebrated by the pastor, the Rev. M.J. Nealon. The pallbearers were James McIsaac, Rod McIsaac, Jack McIsaac, Dan McIsaac, Thomas Hannon and Patrick Corrigan, Interment was in Uptergrove cemetery.
