  Eau Claire County Birth Record: EC0061 000201 Father listed as working in a sawmill. Born at 6:30 am. **PORTERVILLE, WI was a temporary lumber mill town: "Porter's Mills" just outside of Eau Claire. The Patrick Duffy family also lived in Porterville with many of their children. WWI Navy--Marine Engineer. Had a "black book" with family information. Superior Evening Telegram Frank H. Duffy, Ex-Superiorite, dies in Calif. Frank H. Duffy, 67, 3546 5th Avenue, San Diego, California, died Sunday after a brief illness. Mr. Duffy was a former Superior and Duluth resident before going to California in 1938. When in Superior, he was a marine engineer on the Great Lakes. He retired in 1938. Survivors include his wife, Margaret, two sons James and George of San Diego; two daughters, Mrs. David Adams and Mrs. Robert Warner of San Diego; a brother Ernest of Chicago; three sisters, Mrs. George O'Brien of Superior, Mrs. Joseph Gottbreaht, Duluth, and Mrs. Frank Busse of Chicago; and six grandchildren. Funeral services and burial will be in San Diego.
