    • Captain Jewell was killed in action, March 3, 1945. He was a member of Algonquin Regiment of the Royal Canadian Infantry Corps. He is buried in the Canadian War Cemetery, Netherlands, gave XIV.D.16. A stone in the Old Stone Church Cemetery, Beaverton, Ontario honours his death and sacrifice for our nation.
