- Married Chris Luebkeman October 18, 1899. From the Eau Claire paper that next day:
Luebkeman-Gunther
"Mr. Christopher Luebkeman and Miss Rose Gunther were married at the home of the bride yesterday by the Rev B.C Dunne at 5pm yesterday. Groomsman was Mr. Wm Gunther and the bridesmaid was Miss Maggie Grogan of Stanley. The bride's costume was pink silk with pearl lace trimming and she carried white roses. The wedding march was played by Miss Ulrich. The wedding presents were elaborate: coming from Madison, Calgary BC, Duluth, and Minneapolis, as well as Eau Claire. Amond the presents was a very handsome bookcase, given by the Gas Company employees. The rooms were magnificently decorated with evergreen smilax, roses, etc. The happy couple will take a wedding trip to the Twin Cities.
Those present were the Messrs and Mesdames WW Luebkeman, C. Huebner, L. Skatvold, JR Campbell, D. Douglas, Wm. Powers, Marsden Seydall, Mesdames R. Duffy, T. Luebkeman, K. Murphy, C. F (?), David Drummond, Misses Mamie Ford, Anna Ford, Minne Weiger, Bertha Sullivan, Kate Fleming, Anna Carl, A. Hartel, Kit Kearney, L. Kearney, Mssrs Frank Huebner, (?) Pike."
Had a styling salon in Rice Lake in the early 1900s. Often mentioned in the pages of the Lake Nebagamon Enterprise paper, visiting her parents.
LNE 6/18/1904: Mr and Mrs Frank Ginder received a telegram stating that their daughter, Mrs. C. Luebkeman was seriously ill. Mrs. Ginder left at once for Eau Claire.
LNE 6/25/1904: Mrs. FE Ginder returned from Eau Claire Tuesday accompanied by her daughter, Mrs. Luebkeman, who has been seriously ill but is improving.
Divorce proceedings between Rose and Chris Luebkeman were initiated in the summer of 1904. Mr. Luebkeman stated that Rose Frances Luebkeman committed adultery with Archiebald Boucher between May 1, 1903 and June 20, 1904 at the West Hotel in St. Paul, MN. The divorce was granted in Eau Claire County. Chris remarried to Jennie Stang on 16 May 1906. Rose remarried Archiebald Boucher.
LNE 3/17/1906: "Mrs. Rose Luebkeman will be at home for a few weeks and will give scalp treatment, shampooing, face massaging and manicuring. Prices reasonable. Call at Ginder's residence.
LNE 1/5/1907: "Mrs. R. Luebkeman left on Tuesday for Hibbing, MN."
