      Haying and the falle wheat harvest is over in this vicinity and most of the farmers have commenced cutting oats.
      A number from here attended the dance at the Standard house, Longford, on Thursday evening and report a good time.
      Mr. Alex McMillan, who is building a new barn, had his first raising of mudsills and sleepers on Tuesday and expects to have the barn ready for the crop. Mr. Wm. Kelly of Uptergrove, who is doing the framing, expects to have the barn raising in a week or ten days.
