Notes - Patrick moved with his family to Utterson where he helped his father in the management of the Commercial Hotel. He later opened a general store which he ran. He also lived for eight years in Montreal & Toronto.

Patrick John Clarke
Patrick John Clarke, aged 63, died at
his home, 36 Castlefranck Road, Toronto,
on November 16. He was born in Mara, the
son of the late Patrick Clarke and the late
Maria Newman. His youth was spent in
Washago. Forty-three years ago the
family moved to Utterson where he was
associated with his father in the manage-
ment of the Commercial Hotel, later
opening and operating a general store
in the village of Utterson.
For eight years he has made his home
in Montreal and Toronto.
In July, 1906, he married Charlotte
Waters, who survives him with 12
children, six sons and six daughters,
Mrs. Roy Robertson (Eileen), of Montreal;
MRs. Al. Kelly, (Olga), of Toronto; Mrs.
Noel LaVeille, (Altena), Cayuga; Margaret,
Dorothy, and Joyce at home; Ralston, of
Toronto; John, Alphonse and Phillip, of
Gravenhurst; Peter, of Utterson; and Joseph
at home, five grandchildren, and two brothers,
and two sisters Mrs. James Appoloney (Mary)
Mrs. Wm Lequyer (Anna), Thomas J. of
Utterson and George J. of Orillia.
After requiem mass at St. Joseph's church,
Bracebridge, by the very Rev. Dean O'Leary,
he was laid to rest in St. Joseph's cemetery.
His six sons bore the body to its last
resting place.
